Breata believes that a child’s imagination is like a garden—the more we nurture, care for, and tend to it, the more beautifully it will flourish. Her blossoming tenugui reflects this belief, crafted with care in one of Tokyo’s last remaining tenugui dye factories.

Each piece is hand-dyed, pressed, washed, and dried using traditional methods, making it as unique as the imagination it inspires. The soft cotton fabric wraps gently around you or your gifts, carrying the warmth of one of Breata’s hugs.

Its design also serves as a delightful colouring background that can be washed and re-coloured time and time again, adding a playful and creative touch to its practical beauty.

Hand-dyed using the traditional Japanese “Chusen” technique, the colours may run or transfer initially. It is recommended to cold hand wash separately and rinse thoroughly, avoiding soaking.
